William Bird "Bill" Sloan III

1937 - 2013

William "Bill" Bird Sloan III, 76 of Lodi, CA., passed away on Sept. 11, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Stockton, CA. Bill is survived by son William Bird Sloan IV, (Sarah) of Lathrop, CA., daughter Brittney Ann Sloan of Lodi, CA., 61/2 grandchildren, (one on the way) brother Bruce Dale Sloan Sr., (Sharon) of Lodi, CA., and companion Mary Etta Sheridan, of Lodi, CA.
Preceded in death by his parents William Bird Sloan II, and Gladys Mae Dale, and sister Beverly Mae Perry.
Bill was born on June 2, 1937, in Stockton, CA., Bill attended local schools and graduated from Stockton College in 1955. Bill served in the U.S.A.F. He worked for Valley Electric Co., for over thirty years, where he made life long friends. Bill was a member of the Elk's Lodge of Woodbridge, Moose Lodge of Lodi, and the Disabled American Veterans of Lodi, CA., Bill was a avid USC Trojan football fan, FIGHT ON!!!!!
The family request, that in lieu of flowers, a donation to a charitable organization of their choice or to the Disabled American Veterans be made. Visitation 2-8 P.M., Tues, Sept. 17th at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi CA. Bill will be cremated and his ashes scattered at the Cascade Garden, Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, CA. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
