Patricia Shilling Obituary

Patricia Colleen Curran Shilling, 81 8/28/30 - 3/3/12 born in Spokane WA to J.W. and Marguerita "Marge" (Chasse) Curran. Graduated from Lodi Union High School. Employed by the City as a Sr. Acct. Clerk and later at PCP. She married her sweetheart, Donald L. Shilling in 1951, she was devoted, beloved mother, grandmother and foster mother. Pat was involved in organizations for children, PTA, Camp Fire Girls, Catholic Charities and Hogar Paz y Bien. Pat raised prize winning begonias, champion Golden Retrievers and baked blue ribbon breads.
With friends she created grape murals for the Festival. Pat enjoyed music and dancing, was an avid reader and a happy camper. Genealogy took her across the U.S., Canada and Ireland. Pat loved travel, and was ready to go anywhere after her morning coffee. She had dear friends and leaves them with fond memories of adventures and time together. Pat belonged to St. Anne's Catholic Church and Women of the Moose. Pat always noticed and remarked on beauty around her. She cherished time with friends and family. Pat passed away in San Francisco from a sudden illness. Her legacy of kindness and encouragement reminds us today "Everything will be all right." She leaves her beloved husband of 61 years, Donald L. Shilling, children Marguerite A. Shilling of Citrus Heights, Mary D. Bippus of Stockton, Donald D. Shilling of Lodi, grandson Matthew W. Bippus of Colorado Springs. She is survived by siblings, James W. Curran of Mercer Island WA. Cherie A. Strain of Roseville. She leaves extended family and dear friends. A Memorial service will be held at Rocha's Mortuary 215 S. School St. on Sat. March 17, at 11:00 am. followed by a gathering at The Dancing Fox, 203 S School St. Committal at Lodi Mem-orial Cemetery and Conrad Cemetery, Kalispell, with her mother. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice, or a special outing in honor of our beloved Pat.

Mr. Shilling & Family...

I'm deeply sorry to read that Mrs Shilling has passed! Many years ago my Mother Loretta Churchill and Pat were close friend and worked many frantic last minute and late nights creating aware winning grape murals. I have fond memories of our families spending times together. Its hard to believe my Parents have been gone nearly 2 decades? Please accept my sincere condolences! Takes care,
