Arthur "Art" McLaughlin Obituary
Arthur "Art" McLaughlin, of Lodi, passed away on November 21, 2013. He was born on January 27, 1920, in Sunnyvale, California. He was the 4th of four children born to Ernest and Laura McLaughlin. Art worked for Wilson Cannery for 77 years, something in which he took pride in. Art was very proud of his service to his country during World War II. Art and his wife, Bonnie, owned thoroughbred horses and loved to race them at Gold Gate and Bay Meadow Race Tracks while boarding other horses at their ranch in the Linden area. Art's very favorite activity through out his life was wagering, be it horses, casinos or the lottery; he was always a winner. He spent most of his adult life in San Joaquin County. Art leaves behind his beloved companion of 29 years, Margie Onstott, his nieces, Nancy (Dennis) Ring, Judy Sordelo and Beverly Pullan. Art enjoyed spending time with Margie's children, Debbie (Dennis) Hunt, Stephen Levett, Valerie Cornello, Gayle Britton and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Roy; sister, Myrtle Weaver; and wife, Bonnie. Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, November 30, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Monday, December 2 at 1 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home.
