Donald August Plath passed away on April 28, 2014. Don was born on a dairy farm in Iowa in 1937. He graduated from high school as the valedictorian. He went on to serve for 3 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Don was a 30 year veteran of the Stockton Police Department. For many years, he volunteered and served on the Board of Directors of Hanot Foundation, a non-profit residential home for developmentally disabled adults and seniors.

Don is preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy Klusch of Stockton, his four brothers: Wayne, Leroy and Melvin Plath and his parents Bertha and Emmett Plath of Fairmont, MN. Don leaves behind his second wife Rebecca Plath of Valley Springs, children: Susan McKee of Rocklin, Richard Plath of Stockton, Jessica Haro of Valley Springs and Megan Haro of Lodi. As well as his nephews Tim Plath of Fairmont MN, and Todd Plath of Manteca and five Grandchildren, Audrey Plath of Georgetown TX., Heidi McKee of
Rocklin, Walker Plath of Stockton, and Andrew and Jack Powers of Valley Springs.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Flowers at Cherokee Memorial Park (Hwy 99 at East Harney Ln) in Lodi.
