Gerald Drake Obituary
He was born in Southern CA, to parents, Albert G. JR. & Rose Drake. Ron grew up in the Southern CA area and moved to the Galt and Lodi area at a young age. He attended Galt High and participated in all sports and graduated from Durham High in 1959. Ron started his career with the United States Federal Government in Stockton and Tracy. He retired from the Van Nuys office after 41 years of service.
Ron is survived by a son, Ron E. (Aliece) Drake of Stockton, daughters Rochelle (Tim) Selby of Lodi, Rachel Drake of Lodi, and step children, Vickie (Jess) Rodriquez of Gilroy, and Eric Johnson of San Diego, brothers Michael (Barbara) Drake of Stockton and Tim (Janet) Brown of Hanford. Survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren and several nieces.
Graveside services will be held July 24, 2013 at 11:00AM at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, CA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CCVNA Hospice, PO Box 2480, Monterey, CA. 93942.

Although i only knew you for a short time you made a impact on my life.You were always up beat and positive everytime we spoke on the phone.I so hoped that you would get to be aroung longer,but God had other plans for you.I miss picking up the phone and talking to you. My sympathy to all of Ron's family. I was a high school classmate and had the pleasure of spending time with Ron. We spent many hours on the football field and Ron was one of the most courageous players to put on the uniform. He always gave 100% and was a great teammate.
