J. James "JIM" Donadio, 71, of Lodi entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 21, 2013 after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Lodi, Jim was born on July 29, 1941. Jim graduated from Lodi Union High School as part of the class of 1959 and attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo before returning to Lodi where he joined the Woodbridge Fire Department. After four years with Woodbridge, Jim joined the Lodi Fire Department where he would remain for 30 yrs. until he retired in 1993.

Jim married the love of his life, Grace on October 1, 1961 and enjoyed 51 joyful, wonderful years together. In retirement, Jim enjoyed traveling with Grace throughout the country, spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchild. Jim also enjoyed cooking and providing for others. Jim was known by many for his signature TRI - TIP BBQ. Jim was also an avid NASCAR fan.
Jim was a life member of the California State Firefighters Association, and was a long time Lodi High Band Booster, as well as being an active member of the Family Motor Coach Association, Thousand Trails West, Western Bus Nuts and the Lodi Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years Grace Donadio of Lodi, three children, Kimberly (David) Tansley of Parker, CO, Candace (Elmer) Watanabe of Acampo, Tony (Kim) Donadio of Stockton, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as sister Marilyn Girsh (Merv) and brother Charles Donadio both of Lodi.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marie Donadio, sister Joanne and little brother Richard.
Niche side memorial services will be held on Monday, March 4th 2013 at 1:00 pm at Cherokee Memorial Park in the Freedom Garden. A reception will be held at Woodbridge Elks Lodge following the services.
