Marilyn Louise Pudwell

1933 - 2012

Marilyn Louise Pudwell, 79, of Lodi, California, passed away on August 28, 2012, at home and surrounded by her family.
Marilyn was born January 20, 1933 in Watsonville, California to Myrtle and Harold Stonaker. She received a Business degree from Diablo Valley College, where she met and later married Gary Pudwell in 1956, in Concord California. They moved to Lodi, California in 1968 to raise their family. Marilyn worked for many years at Guild Winery and Valley Industries.
Marilyn was regarded as the "matriarch" of the Pudwell family. She loved having friends and family around her; she would host dinner parties, holiday get-togethers, and 49er football Sundays at the "Niner Cave", in her home. Marilyn had an active sense of humor and loved playing practical jokes. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Marilyn tutored ESL women in English and was an avid reader. She was recognized for her contributions and dedication to the Lodi Public Library.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Gary; children Katherine and Kelly Milligan, Jennifer Van Donge, Matthew and Kelly Pudwell, Christopher and Lisa Pudwell; grandchildren Jenna, Shelby, Brittany, Jolie, Casey, Ryan, Kent, Kate, Matthew, Corinne, Alexa and Cassie; and great-grand children Cody and Ashlee, sister Diane Scalise and her husband Frank. Marilyn is also survived by her devoted dog Roxy.
A small, private memorial will be held for Marilyn with close family and friends. The Pudwell family wishes to convey their thanks for all of the love and support that has been given during this difficult time.
