Michael R. Huestis went home to our Lord on March 1, 2014 at Stanford University in Palo Alto at the age of 64. Born in Lodi, on September 14, 1949 to Martha Mae and Robert Huestis and remained a life long resident. He attended Lockeford Elementary and Lodi High School. Michael served his country Honorably in the Marine Corps, serving 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Huestis was well known at Wright Motors for many years before starting Outdoor Power Equipment Plus, and prided himself on conducting his business Honorably. He enjoyed the outdoors - especially the mountains and loved his family and pets. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers Randall Huestis and Dennis Huestis. He is survived by his one true love Sherry Huestis, Sons Willie and John, daughter Janice Smith, six grandchildren: Andrew and Alyssa Smith, Michael, Alexis, Katelynn, Arielle and nephew Philip Huestis and a niece Emeri Little and cousin Eddie Austin. He was the sweetest husband and the dearest pappy. While we mourn, heaven rejoices. We once waited for him to come home but he now waits for us. We all love and miss Mickey tremendously.
