Allen B Aadland was born in Britton South Dakota on October 24, 1946, and passed away peacefully with his family at his side on June 30, 2013. He was raised in Lodi and resided there as an adult before moving to Galt in 2002. Allen was known for having a candid sense of humor and for being a very generous person. He served his country honorably in the US Army from 1963-1965. He was a member of the IBEW 1245 and worked as an electrician for 30 years. Allen retired from the City of Lodi as a substation technician in 2010. Allen was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and target shooting with his sons and grandchildren. Some of his other hobbies included building fishing poles, flying model air planes, and spending extensive time with his grandchildren. Allen is survived by his wife, Donna Aadland, his two sons, Robert Aadland of Galt, Daniel Aadland of Ione, daughter in law Karen Aadland of Ione, grandchildren, Brianna Carr, Kristen Aadland, Miah Aadland, Jake & Christine Taylor, Robin Carter, Run Fuller, Lisa and Willy Peat, great grandchildren, Chloe Aadland, Zach Taylor, Madison Taylor, Jenna Taylor, Jayden Fuller, and Kameron Fuller. Per Allen's request there will be no services. Lodi Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
