Our Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2013 surrounded by his family.
Born November 29, 1928 to Anna Meidinger and Emil Sayler in Venturia, ND.
He is survived by his wife Florence, married September 14, 1952 in Sioux Falls, SD. Sons Clayton of Georgetown, TX, Jeff (Debbie) of Woodburn, OR, daughter Susan Romine of Lodi, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sister Edna (Bill) Fischer of Stockton, brothers Mel (Judy) Sayler of Folsom, Vern (Kathy) Sayler of Lodi and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Emil and Anna Sayler, sister Florence (Irvin) Mehlhaff of Lodi, daughter Cheryl Touhy of Everett, WA, daughter-in-law Marie Sayler of Lodi and grandson Ronald Vorderbruggen Jr. of Everett, WA.
Al was in the Restaurant Business over 30 years, The Gingham Gal in Stockton, The Village Coffee Shop in Lodi, also started the Country Kitchen in Lodi. After retirement he went to school in Bloomington, MN and began Al's Color Restoring. He was a past member of FMCA Assoc., Lodi Trailer Club, Assorted Nuts, Lodi Dakota Club, Moose and Eagle's.
The Sayler family takes comfort in their faith in Jesus Christ and the word of scripture "to be absent from the body and be present with the Lord".
A memorial service will be held at Big Valley Bible Church, at 11am Wednesday, April 3, 2013 located at 226 Poplar St in Lodi.
In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to Big Valley Bible Church or Hospice of San Joaquin.
