Alma Rosa Fuentes passed away at Hospice House in Stockton, October 9, 2012 at the age of 59. Born in Tamaulipas, Mexico to Antonio and Rosa Lopez Alaniz, she has lived the past 37 years in Lodi. Alma was the first of 11 siblings to pass away. Alma's life was one of service. She volunteered as captain of Latinas Contra el Cancer, and spent many hours feeding and helping the needy. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a friend to many.
She is survived by her husband Salvador Fuentes; Children: Salvador E. Fuentes, Juan Carlos Fuentes and Karla Barba; grandchildren: Jocelyn, Novalee, Herman, Alexis, Jayden, and Damien, and 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Chapel of Flowers at Cherokee Memorial Park, hwy 99 at E Harney Lane in Lodi. A vigil service will take place at 6:oo pm on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home 831 Industrial Way, Lodi CA 95240, with visitation talking place from 10-6 preceding the vigil at the Funeral Home.
