Calvin Glenn Pitto, 53, of Lodi, died on Sept. 13 in Manteca. He was born at Lodi Memorial hospital on Sept. 22, 1958.
Mr. Pitto was a native of Lodi and co-owner of Cascande - Pitto Wines. He also worked as a phlebotomist, lab assistant and wine maker. He was an active member, and Board of Property President, at St. Peter Lutheran Church. He also worked with the Sacramento Street Outreach and fed the youth group on Sundays for six years.
Mr. Pitto loved Dillon Beach and enjoyed camping, crabbing, fishing, clamming and being with family and friends.
Mr. Pitto is survived by his wife, Sally, daughter, Haley and cat, Peaches, all of Lodi; siblings, Alan Pitto (Sandy), Susan Oesterman, Mark Pitto, Cindy Pitto and Michael Pitto, all of Lodi; mother-in-law, Edna Berreth, of Lodi, and brother-in-law, Bruce Berreth (Sharon), of Columbus, Georgia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 20 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Kah officiating. Committal will be private, and there will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2400 Oxford Way, Lodi, Ca 95242.
