Their union lasted 61 years, 3 months, and 4 days. After Edna's passing, Carlton missed her tremendously and looked forward to seeing her again.

Carlton served in the U.S. Army, XXIV Corps, in Korea as an equipment operator. Later, as a civilian, he continued as an equipment operator for the Army and was most proud to be a crane operator for many years, with outstanding conscientious service and a long standing record for safety.
He established a second career in his late 60's as a highly skilled cast iron repair technician working for LOCK-N-STITCH, a company he was proud to own part of and to work at until his last year. He made many friends through the Turlock company among his coworkers and the customers around the wold. He shared his smile and his great humor with all of them.
Carlton attended Lodi Community Church with his wife, Edna, and greatly enjoyed family, friends, and their faith.
