Charles Abron Brookshier, Passed 6-26-12 in Lodi, CA. Born 1-17-1930 in Cromwell, OK. He was the 7th of 9 children to Vernon V. Brookshier and Lillie Belle (Jackson) Brookshier.
He enlisted, and served 4 yrs in the Army's 82nd, and then the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict. Scarcely 4mos after his discharge he met the Love of his Life, Margaret J. Doles, while on a double date. They had been married 60 years on May 10, 2012. Together they had two children, Andrew P. and Charlene A Brookshier (Edgar). Charles was a quiet, "man of few words", but well known for his wit and sense of humor.
He took much pride in remodeling several of his homes. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, and has left his family with many fond memories of sharing these things he loved.
Charles was: proud, brave and courageous man, as he battled 13 yrs with cancer, never complaining, only saying "it is what it is."
He is survived by his loving; wife, Margaret, children; Andrew (Trisha) of Medford OR, and Charlene (Don) Edgar of Acampo, CA, Daughter in law Kyong Brookshier, Grandchildren Sarah (Mike), Amanda Brookshier, Debra (Mike) Shenal, and Tim Edgar, and Great-Grand daughter Kayla Edgar.

No formal services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
