Dan Smoak, of Lodi, passed away peacefully to the Lord while camping with his family in Pinecrest, California, at the young age of 56 years old. Dan was born in Lodi, California and lived his entire life in the area. Dan worked in construction for the past 38 years. He was a dedicated project superintendant for the past 3 years with George Reed Construction. Dan also worked for SNC Constructions and Granite Construction. Dan was a patriotic man that loved The Cowboys, fishing, camping, hunting, flat track racing, spending time with his family, working on his home, property and never the less his job. Dan will be truly missed by all.

Dan was a devoted husband of 38 years to his first and only love, Shelly (Heathington) Smoak; children, Saul Smoak and wife Crystal, Sunshine (Smoak) Kearney and husband Mark; grandchildren, Daisie, Lacie, and Ethan; father Boyd Eugene Smoak; mother Lila Bristow; step-mother, Sandra Smoak; brothers, John, Joe, and Billy Bristow; sisters, Crissi and Brandi Smoak.
A Chapel service will be held at Lodi Funeral Home on Sunday, July, 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Captain Dan Williams of The Salvation Army. Committal to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park, officiated by Captain Tori Ross of The Salvation Army, there is no visitation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the N.R.A. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. GONE FISHIN!
