D.J. was born in Stockton on March 29, 1989 and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 12, 2012.
D.J. attended Growing Tree Preschool, Mokelumne River School, Brookside Christian, Jim Elliot Christian and graduated from Bear Creek High in 2007. D.J. was an only child who above all else loved and cared for other people. He also had a passion for car restoration, music and golf (playing Junior Golf and High School Golf). D.J. worked in Food and Beverage at many local golf courses and volunteered on the multi-media team at Quail Lakes Baptist Church.
D.J. is survived by his loving parents Darryl and Pam Bannister of Stockton; his grandmother Margaret "Louise" Mezger of Stockton; Aunt Nancy Marley, Cousins Jan (Pastor Earl) Miles and Gail Marley of Orange Co. CA. Also survived by "Auntie" Gail Keisling and cousins United States Marine Captain Steve Keisling (Jessica) and Jennifer Keisling of Napa, CA, along with other extended family.
A viewing will be held at Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca, CA 95336, Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from noon until 6:00 pm, and Wednesday, August, 22, 2012, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. To get to Park View from Stockton/Lodi head south on Hwy 99 to French Camp Road exit, turn right, travel 300 yards and look for the Park View sign on your right. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at 6:00 PM at Big Valley Bible Church, 226 E. Poplar, Lodi, CA, where there will be a reception follow the service. Interment will be private.
