Dennis Wayne Potter, 58 of Stockton passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Born in Corona, CA he grew up in Lodi where he attended Lodi High School.
After high school he joined the U.S. Army and later worked at various jobs in the construction field.
Dennis loved gardening, animals and throwing darts. He was very artistic and enjoyed lending a helping hand to friends in need.
Survivors include his wife Cindy Woolwine of Stockton, three daughters, Stacey Sweeten of Lodi, Kristina Baird and Jamie Schoen both of Stockton, two sons, Thomas Robinson and John Choate both of Stockton, two grandchildren, Brian Sweeten and Brittany Potter of Lodi, parents Robert & Dorothy Potter of Lodi, two brothers, Melvin Potter of Galt and Kenneth Potter of Lodi and two sisters Sharon Gregory of Houston, TX and Jeanette Potter of Lodi.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Evergreen Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Park. Burial will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home.
Donations may be made in his name to Hospice of San Joaquin 3888 Pacific Ave. Stockton, CA 95205.
