Dolores Flores Ortega, 83, of Acampo passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Born in Huanusco, Zacatecas, Mexico on July 13, 1930, she came to the United States settling first in Marysville in 1966 before making her permanent home in Acampo in 1969. Dolores worked for Tri Valley Growers in Thornton for 17 years before retiring in 1991.

She is survived by three sons, William (Ema) Ortega of Lodi, Joe (Ofelia) Ortega, Sr. of Stockton, Robert (Olivia) Ortega of Acampo, two daughters, Yolanda (Joe) Pantoja of Stockton, Anna (Jesse) Rios of Stockton, 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, three brothers, Leopoldo Flores of Stockton, Regoberto Flores of Lodi, Jose Flores of Texas, sisters, Victoria Nunes and Virginia Arambula both of Mexico and Esperaza Salas of Lodi.
Her husband of 55 years Ruben V. Ortega precedes her in death on May 7, 2005.
A vigil services will be held on Sunday, September 8 at 7:00 PM in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park followed by Mass on Monday, September 9 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church Burial will be at Cherokee Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home 831 E. Industrial Way Lodi.
