Dorothy Perry passed away on January 20, 2013. She was born on August 19, 1931, in Los Gatos, California. Her parents were Italian immigrants Basilio and Julia Maffei. She was the youngest of four daughters. Dorothy grew up in Stockton and attended St. Agnus grammar school and graduated from St. Mary's High School. She married the love of her life, Joseph Perry, in 1951. Dorothy is survived by her beloved daughter, Susan (Bob) Bishofberger; cherished grandson, Andrew "Andy" Bishofberger; as well as loving nieces and nephews and many friends. She and Joe lived in Stockton when they were first married, then moved to Lodi in 1955, where Joe farmed for over 40 years. Dorothy loved being a farmer's wife and volunteering as a 4-H leader and PTO president during Susan's school years. She was a "second mother" to many of Susan's friends and "Nonie" to all of Andy's friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe, and sisters, Elsie DelCarlo, Evelyn Nomelini, and Norma Muzio.

Dorothy loved being with people and making them smile! She was a member of Town and Country, TOPS, U.P.P.E.C., St. Anne's Seniors, and St. Anne's Catholic Church. . The family of Mrs. Perry wishes to extend their thanks to the caring staff of Senior's Choice, Fairmont Rehabilitation Hospital, and Lodi Memorial Hospital, as well as a special thank you for years of loving care from their dear friend, Dr. Annie Marie Santos.
Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 23, from Noon until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 25, at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Committal will be private. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
