Elbert James Hash, 67, son of Mary and Elbert Hash (both deceased) passed away August 4, 2018 after losing his 6 year battle with ALS. Born and raised in Stockton, CA he was a 45 year resident in Lodi, CA.Elbert is a 33 year veteran of Woodbridge Fire Department and did multiple side jobs in the construction business and golf industry. He loved being a firefighter and during his career he went to multiple forest fires out of town and state, he also went with a team to help during the Rodney King riots.
On his off time he was an avid outdoorsmen, loved golf, softball, hunting, fishing, camping and riding four wheelers with his family.  After being diagnosed with ALS all he wanted was to be around his family. Unfortunately the resources didn't allow him to stay local for his treatments, but his loving family traveled to see him as often as they could for 16 months. He was finally given the opportunity to move to Stockton for treatment the last 3 weeks of his life where his family could see him daily.
