Eldora Laverne Dias, age 92, of Lodi, passed away on July 30, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 6, 1919, in Merced County, California to John and Ida (Souza) Enos. Eldora worked as an administrative assistant for 30 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needle point, traveling and taking walks. She was a member of the following organizations: Past First Lady I.D.E.S., S.P.R.S.I., L.U.S.O., P.F.S.A., Loel Center, San Joaquin Historical Society Museum, and secretary for Daughters of Isabella. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Manuel Dias; daughter, Carolyn Dias of San Clemente; sons, Raymond (Patty) Dias of Stockton, Melvin (Evie) Dias of Nevada, and Henry (Diane) Dias of Lodi; grandchildren, Elizabeth Nelson-Ledin, Jessica Huebner, Trent Dias, Tara Andress, Steven Dias, Allison Peck, Carter Leathers, Courtney Dias, and Cristina Dias; great grandchildren, Morgan Dias, Dominic Dias, and Anthony Dias; and sister, Lucielle Silva. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to express their thanks to Tina, Dora, Tammy, Yolanda, Rosa, and Lilliana for their excellent and loving care. Friends are invited to visit on Saturday, August 4, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, August 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Sunday, August 5, at 7 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church with committal to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ascera Care Hospice at 2529 March Lane, Ste 101, Stockton, CA 95207 or Catholic Charities.
