Eleanor Galbraith Jory passed away April 29, 2013 at the age of 99. A lifelong resident of San Joaquin County, she was the granddaughter of area pioneer George Lincoln Mosher. She was born in Stockton on February 25, 1914 to architect, Victor Galbraith and Myrtle Mosher Galbraith. She was preceded in death by her son, Jay Victor Jory of Fresno; brother, Vernon Galbraith and husband of 62 years, Walter "Bud" Jory. She is survived by son Michael (Carolyn) Jory of Volcano; daughter Melinda (Leroy) Mettler of Lodi, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces, grandnieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling and caring for her family. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at O'Connor Woods chapel, 3400 Wagner Heights Road in Stockton.
