Elvina Joyce Janke, 75 of Lodi passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Born in Wisconsin May 2, 1937 she moved to Montana as a child with her parents and graduated from high school there. She married Edwin Janke in 1955 and moved to Lodi where they established their home. A homemaker, Elvina was very active in her church, St. Peter Lutheran Church since 1958. She taught Sunday School classes, was a Vacation Bible School leader and taught Life Lite Bible Classes. Elvina also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and making afghans.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years Edwin Janke of Lodi, 4 children, Keith Janke of Cheney, WA, Kevin E. Janke, Kyle P. Janke and Kim L. Montemayor all of Lodi, grandchildren, Cody & Alyssa Janke, Tiffany Shumate, Tia Shannon, Robert Bendlin III and Josh & Jordan Montemayor, great grandchildren, Gary, Steven, McKenzie, Josh, Jessie and Cierra King-Montemayor as well as a brother Terry Birdeau of Missoula, MT and a sister, Joan Van Setten of Choteau, MT.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church 2400 W. Oxford Way Lodi, CA. Inurnment was private at Cherokee Memorial Park.
