Eva F. Graffigna Obituary
Eva F. Graffigna passed away on April 15, 2014 at the age of 87. Eva was born on August 10, 1926 in Boyle, Mississippi, one of 10 children. Eva moved to Lodi at the age of 13 and attended local schools. In High School she met Bill Graffigna. They married in 1946 and started a life together. For many years of her life she was active in family businesses along with being a homemaker. She was known for having gatherings at her home as she loved to entertain. Eva can be remembered for preparing traditional Italian dishes for her family and friends with everyone wanting to come back for more. Dinners at the Graffigna home were social gatherings that included excellent food, wine, deserts, and most importantly, her loved ones nearby. She also had a passion for interior design, stained glass art work, needle point, gardening, and a variety of craft projects. In addition, Eva had a flair for fashion and an impeccable sense of style. Eva was very active at Woodbridge Golf & Country Club as an avid golfer. She served on several committees including Captain of the Ladies 18 hole group.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Enrico and Virginia Strazi and her 9 siblings.
Eva will be missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Bill Griffigna; son Pete Graffigna (Janell); grandsons, Troy Graffigna and Brett Graffigna (Chantal); great grandchildren, Savanna Graffigna, Sophia Graffigna, Aiven Graffigna, and Ivey Graffigna.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave. There will be no visitation. Graveside will be private. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation, Inc. 845 S. Fairmont Ave., Suite 3, Lodi, CA 95240. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
