Evelyn Ruth (Gahimer) Crim, 80, of Manilla, passed away Sept. 24, 2012.|
Born Feb. 18, 1932 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Chester D. and Frieda L. (Edmondson) Gahimer, both deceased. She married James W. Crim Oct. 14, 1951; he preceded her in death March 18, 2002. She was a 1950 graduate of Manilla High School. She was a member of Morristown Christian Church, Homemakers Social Studies Club, Merry Mixers and "Fun Bunch Group."
She was a wonderful Christian woman who always thought of others first.
Survivors include sons, Steve (Jill) Crim of Manilla and Tim (Inga) Crim of Shelbyville; daughters, Debi (Mark) Wahlman of California and Cindy (George) Gladding of Manilla; a sister, Edna Bell Hauger of Glenwood; a sister-in-law, Vada Crim of Manilla; six grandchildren; Dena/Mike Ramsey, Kevin/Ali Crim, Christie/Brad Hewlett, Brian/Megan Crim, Nick Gladding, Melia/Steve McCauley; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Fredrick, and a sister, Carol Hornung.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Bro. Fred Hickman officiating.
Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to Mahoning Valley Christian Service Camp c/o the funeral home.
