Floyd W. Weisenhaus Obituary
Floyd W. Weisenhaus, of Lodi, passed away in a local convalescent home on November 5, 2013 at the age of 96. Floyd was born in Lisbon, North Dakota on March 13, 1917 to Charles and Mabel (Zimmerman) Weisenhaus. At age 17, his family moved to Aumsville, Oregon. On May 4, 1936, he married Doris Kimber. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to the Southern California area where Floyd worked in construction as a dump truck owner/operator, later settling in Lodi in 1952. He then worked for Guild Winery until his retirement in 1979. Floyd was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed taking trips in their RV, camping, boating and fishing with family and friends. He is survived by his son William (wife Nancy) Weisenhaus of Keizer, OR; daughter Ila Mae (husband Robert) Wetzel of Lodi; sisters Alene Miller, Ida Coates, and Violet Valencourt of Salem, OR; 2 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris of 76 years; brothers Clifford and Ervin; sisters Loretta and Blanche. Per Floyd's request, there will be no services, and committal was private at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the . Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
