Gary W. Brittain passed away peacefully in Lodi on September 27, 2013 at the age of 72. He was born February 11, 1941 in Clovis, New Mexico to Ruth and Randall Brittain. Gary worked for 40 years as a signalman for BNSF Railroad. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed tending to his garden and cooking, and loved his dog Missy.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Karen Brittain of Lockeford; son Jeff Brittain (Dorothy) Elwood, UT; step-children: Bart Gooding of Lockeford, Marc Gooding (Michelle) of Lockeford, Carrie Gooding (Jeff Daniel) of Lodi; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dan Brittain and Jim Brittain of New Mexico; and a sister Rhonda Bradley of New Mexico.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 at E. Harney Lane in Lodi.
