Gerardus "Jerry" Johanes DeKuyer of Herald, passed away on July 15, 2012, at the age of 84. He was born in Kulstaart, Holland on September 9, 1927, to Petrus and Ria (deJong) DeKuyer. He was a self-employed exceptional dairyman for over 65 years. He was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church in Lockeford. Mr. DeKuyer is survived by his brother, Jaap DeKuyer of Holland, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Korry T. DeKuyer and five siblings. Friends are invited to visit Thursday, July 19, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal will be private in Holland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to California FFA Foundation, P.O. Box 834, Elk Grove, CA 95759-0834: (916)714-2970.
