Gregory John Vargem beloved father, devoted son and brother passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 4th, 2013 to be with his dad and our heavenly father. Greg was born November 18th, 1964 in Stockton, California. Greg was the third of four sons born to Johnny and Marilyn Vargem.

Greg attended local schools and graduated with honors from Tokay High in 1983.
He attended Delta College pursuing a fire science degree.
Greg was preceded in death by his father Johnny Vargem. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Jo Vargem of Woodbridge and daughters Sarah and Jennifer of Lodi. Greg has three brothers Steve (fiancee Toni) of Santa Anna, Keith (Sandy) of Lodi, and Bryan (Neilla) of South Lake Tahoe. He also leaves seven nieces and nephews.
Greg worked as a diesel mechanic at Lodi Unified School District for seventeen years. He was often repairing buses that his mother drove for the district until he retired due to injuries and health issues.
He loved camping, hunting including bow hunting and fishing with his daughters and friends. Greg will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations for his daughters living expenses to be sent to Premier Community Credit Union, 504 W. Lodi Avenue, Lodi, Ca 95240 in care of Marilyn Vargem.
Graveside Inurnment will be held at 12 noon Friday, October 11, 2013 at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Ln., Lodi. Followed by a Celebration of Life at the Eagles Lodge #848, 217 E.
