HHarry Moore, Jr., passed away in Lodi on June 8, 2013, at the age of 63. Mr. Moore was born on December 7, 1949, and raised in Detroit, Michigan to Harry Moore, Sr. and Louella (Underwood) Moore. He went on to serve in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam war, later serving in the Army Reserves. He was a Chef for 35 years. His first place of employment was Jim Tiffany in East Lansing, MI. He went on to work at the Sardine Factory in Pacific Grove, Cottage Bakery in Lodi, Dameron Hospital in Stockton, and he retired from Wine & Roses in Lodi. He was a resident of California for over 20 years. His favorite hobbies were fishing, playing cards, cooking and a love of reading. He loved anything that involved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Donna Moore; daughters, Nicholle Ervin of Elk Grove, and Shannon Moore of Monterey; his sons, Joseph Ervin of Hawaii, and Torrey and Amarie Moore of Valley Springs; brother, Jackie Moore of Detroit; sisters, Terry (John) Pasha of Detroit, LaJune Moore of Detroit, Patrice (James) Smith of Detroit, and Regina Moore of Los Angeles; granddaughters, Taylor Terrell of Elk Grove and Kya Martinez of Monterey along with a host of nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Emma Starkey and parents, Harry and Louella Moore. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Mr. Moore's life on Monday, June 17, at 11 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. There is no visitation, and committal is private. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
