Ineal Marie Barral Stribling was born on the banks of the bayou, delivered by a midwife in Ouachita Parrish, near Bastrop/Sterlington, Louisiana. She was educated at St. Paul Elementary and Sterlington High School in Sterlington, Louisiana.

She was united in marriage in 1946 to Jessie Young, Jr. she traveled by train to California with three children to join Jessie in 1950 who was working on the Jenson Ranch on Tyler Island, near Walnut Grove, California. Three more children would be born to this marriage.
Ineal was baptized at an early age. She joined Community Missionary Baptist Church of Walnut Grove, California which later relocated to Thornton, California. Ineal served faithfully as a member of the choir and Sunday school teacher.
Ineal's marriage to Jessie Young dissolved in the late 1960's, and in the early 1970's she was united in marriage to Maurice Stribling, Sr. To this union one son was born, Maurice Jr.
Ineal began working for Tri-Valley Growers as a stock checker, where she remained until her retirement. Following her retirement she plunged into her love for travel, fishing, flowers, and vegetable gardening. She was well known for her smile and morning power walks into her late 70's.
In 1973, when Maurice Jr. was 2 years old, Ineal joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. During this time and for the remainder of her life, she was a respected Sunday school teacher and faithful member. She loved life and her country. All five of her sons served in the Armed Forces. She gave freely and often to many organizations.
Ineal is survived by 2 sisters: Alice Fay Smith and Jerlean B. Archie of Louisiana; 5 sons: James Douglas (Velma) Young, Stockton, California; George Edward Young, Thornton, California; John Thomas (Pauline) Young, Castro Valley, California; Freddie Lee Young, Sacramento, California; and Maurice Stribling, Jr. (address unknown); 1 daughter, Brenda Joyce Young, Culver City, California. Daughter, Melba Jean Young (Washington) preceded her mother in peace in March of this year.
Ineal also leaves to mourn her passing 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by a host of other loving relatives, friends and her St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church family.
Friends are invited for visitation on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 2-6 pm at Thompson Rose Chapel 3601 5th Ave. Sacramento, Ca. and funeral service on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 11:00 am, St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church 3996 14th Ave. Sacramento, Ca. with interment to follow at Lodi Memorial Park, Lodi, Ca.
