James (Jim) Boyce Tansley died Thursday, April 5, 2012 in Roseville, CA at the age of 79. Jim was born on Oct. 10, 1932 in Lodi and graduated from Lodi Union High School in 1950, where he excelled on the swimming team. After graduating from high school he attended Stockton College where he met his wife to be Mona Sue Keith. Jim served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. In 1960 Jim and his wife moved to Roseville, CA and established a State Farm Insurance Agency. Jim is survived by his children Jeffrey Tansley, Shelia Tansley Skibo, Lynn De Harrold, Laura Macintyreand six grandchildren, all of the Roseville area. He is also survived by his brothers Richard Tansley of Lodi and John Tansley of San Francisco. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Mona Tansley and his parents John Franklin and Mary Adele Tansley. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Mt. Vernon Memorial Park Mortuary in Fair Oaks, CA.
