Former Lodi resident James "Jim"  E. Vetter passed away peacefully in Morgan Hill, CA on July  16, 2013 at age 90. He was born on July 5, 1923 in Fullerton, California where he also met his future wife Lillian Fuller. They were married June 9th 1946. Their endearing love lasted for 57 years. Lillian passed away in 2003. Jim served in the U.S.Navy, where he helped maintain the engines on a LST during World War II.   He moved to Lodi in the 1950's with his family to farm a vineyard. Jim later replaced the vines with apples, many locals enjoyed stopping to buy apples and visit. He was a licensed Electrician and started and ran his own successful business as Riteway Electric for many years. Surviving him are his three daughters,two grandsons and great-grandchildren . Jim will be truly missed by all. He will be committed to Cherokee Memorial Park to rest next to his wife Lillian. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the chairity of your choice.  Private Memorial services for the family are pending.
