Janet was born on September 22, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to her parents, Walter and Alice Braker. Janet met the love of her life David at a fraternity party at Fresno State University in 1951 (while she was singing "Some Enchanted Evening") and the 2 were inseparable ever since. After getting married, Janet put her husband David through undergraduate and graduate school and unselfishly devoted the rest of her life to raising their family. Janet was blessed with a magnificent singing voice and received formal operatic training, performing regularly at church and community events. Most of all, Janet was a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Chapel services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Stake Center, 1510 W.
