John Franklin Snider, 69, of Galt, passed away July 26, 2013. Born April 25, 1944 to Glen and Ada Snider, John was a businessman in Galt for over 50 years, with John's Old World Deli and Snider's Breeding Service, worked at Safeway Meat in Stockton, and was a Galt Volunteer Firefighter. Prior to that, he proudly served in the U.S. Army (82nd Airborne) in Vietnam. John had a passion for hot rods, and loved his 1941 Ford. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and coached Pop Warner Football.

John will be missed by his wife of 20 years, Donna Pratton-Snider, and children, Lisa Stokes, Lori Snider, and Glen Snider. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Danielle (Joe), Jacylyn, Chelsea, Madison, John II, Aidan, and his sister Darla Turner (Richard).
His parents precede him in passing.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 2pm to 8pm at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, Ca 95240. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm, Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane in Lodi.
