Jose L Solis Sr. passed away after a short illness on July 29, 2012 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on February 15, 1949 in San Pedro, Guanajuato, Mexico and has lived in Lodi for 52 years. He had a career as a cellar worker for over 35 years. In his spare time, Mr. Solis enjoyed watching boxing and baseball; playing poker with friends, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Rocio (Ron), Jose Jr (Valerie), Marisol, Jessie, Sonia, and Michael; grandchildren Julian, Mariah, Selena, Samantha, and Sara; brothers Eddie, Antonio, and Refugio Jr; 6 stepsisters; his mother Stella Dominguez and his birth mother Lucia Quezada. He is preceded in death by his father Refugio Solis Sr.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Monday, August 6th at Donahue Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 6:00 pm. Committal will be held Tuesday, August 7th at Lodi Memorial Cemetery at 10:00 am.
