On Saturday, August 18, 2012, Juanita Barela Horst lay to rest. Although Juanita was a native of Lodi, she later moved to Oregon hoping to capture the beautiful outdoors in one of her favorite past times, painting. It was through her numerous art projects she could express her love for nature, animals and movies. However despite her busy life she always managed to spend time with her family initiating a contagious laughter that will be missed most.
She is survived by her husband, David Horst, siblings, Thomas Barela, Terry Barela, Paulina Barela, Hope Hoover, and Susie Viramontes and 13 nieces and nephews.
