Julie and Dennis started a family while living in South Lake Tahoe, CA. , having a son, Shane Peck (Holly), and a daughter, Christina Jennings (Mike). They moved to Lodi where she was employed as an educator for 19 years with Lodi Unified School District, working with autistic and special needs children. She devoted her life to this work and was always very kind and patient. She had many successful students. One even became the school president!
She became a grandmother four times! Michael, Eli, and Aubri Jennings, and Judah Peck were born. She was a dedicated, compassionate grandmother, who poured all the love of her heart out on the whole family. She had all kinds of joyful, fun activities going on all the time, and left behind countless precious memories. She enjoyed restoring her Victorian home, and the numerous, fun family trips to Tahoe. Many happy days were spent exploring the California coast, the Sierra foothill towns, and, of course, shopping with her mother and daughter. She was a member of the Beth Hallel Fellowship in Lodi.
She never spoke unkindly towards anyone. She was always there for her family and friends when they needed her, and she always knew what to say to make you feel better.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, January 31, at 3pm at Vinewood Community Church at 1900 West Vine St., Lodi, CA.
