Larry was born in Lodi, CA, on June 23, 1950, to Asoph and Violet Bertsch. He passed at home with his wife by his side on July 3, 2012.
After graduating from Lodi High School, he headed to CSUF in Fresno to complete his education in architectural design. While in Fresno, he met and married his wife, Jan. In 1981, Larry, Jan, and their two sons returned to Lodi. Larry designed and contracted the construction of their first home in Lodi. Upon the completion of this home, his residential design business had its inception as the local contractors had liked the different architectural style he had brought to town. Larry's first love was his business, and he was very grateful to all the contractors and homeowners who trusted him with one of life's most expensive endeavors. As his illness progressed. Larry was proud to refer his clients to his son, Scott, whom he had trained in the business.
Though Larry found it hard to allow himself play time, he loved going to Lake Tahoe, anything having to do with sports cars, many different music genres, and reading about the different battles of World War II.
Larry is survived by his wife Jan, and their two sons, Scott and Danny, both of Lodi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Asoph & Violet Bertsch, and his sister, Linda Stevens.
