Lorraine (Hinsz) Goehring, 86, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 16. She was born in North Dakota and raised in McLaughlin, South Dakota. Her parents, David and Pauline Hinsz and brothers, Ronald and Clifford Hinsz preceded her in death. She was married to the love of her life for 68 years, Elmer Goehring. Together they had 3 children; Caron (Wayne) Hofer, Jim (Becky) Goehring, Joann (Ron) Butler, 7 grandchildren; Jenny Warner, Michelle Aaron, Julie Elliott, Dan Goehring, Dustin Butler, Wade Butler and Jeff Goehring. She had 19 precious great grandchildren. She worked hard making her house a home. Her doors were always open for friends and most importantly her family. She enjoyed making each person feel loved and special. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lodi and Woodbridge GCC. She enjoyed bowling, golf, cooking, reading, watching the S.F. Giants, the Kings and many other sports. Gratitude is extended to Hospice of San Joaquin County, Visiting Angels, Acess Health Care, Lodi Memorial Home Health, her church family and others who loved and cared for her. Her sweet spirit will be missed and her faith in Christ Jesus gives us the hope of someday being reunited with her.
Visitation is at Lodi Funeral Home on Sunday from 9am-6pm and Monday from 8am-10am. A celebration of her life will be at First Baptist Church of Lodi, 267 N. Mills Avenue on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Lodi. A virtual register book may be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com
