Mary Grijalva spent her childhood in the town of Brentwood, California where her family had a ranch. At the age of 18, sheíd had enough of the country life, so she set her sights on Sunnyvale, CA, where she had many uncles, aunts, and cousins. It was there that she started working in the canning industry, which included Del Monte, California Canners and Growers, and Shuckles. She enjoyed spending much time outdoors, whether being with friends and family, tending to her many roses, or just enjoying her yard. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Annie, father, Angelo, and brother, John. She is survived by her brothers Angelo and Manuel Pastor, son Mark (wife, Dana) Grijalva, grandsons Logan and Connor Grijalva, and life companion Louie Orozco. She was a friend to many but dearest to Dena. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 6, at 11 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., in Lodi. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maryís name to AseraCare Hospice, 2529 W. March Lane, Stockton, CA 95207. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
