Orville "Lee" Grimes, age 78, passed away suddenly in a Lodi Hospital on August 26, 2008 with his wife by his side.

Lee was a Lodi resident over 30 years.
He was born on december 9, 1929 in Memphis, Texas to Elmer and Ruby Grimes (now deceased). He served in the California National Guard. Lee retired from PCP Can Division in Lodi.
Lee loved life, golf, bowling, and his family. He rejoiced in namesake great- grandson, Michael Lee Brixey and he will be missed by his Lucky Senior Bowling League who he enjoyed year round.
Lee is survived by his wife of 26 years, Betsie; sister, Reba (Wayne) Goodell of Mission Viejo; his sons, David (Toni) Grimes and Kevin (Linda) Branstetter; daughters, Brenda Smith, Kelli Anderson and Karla (Jerry) Shelton; and special son-in-law, Marc Anderson.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Shauna Shelton, Jesse (Monica) Brixey, Jack Brixey, Jessica Branstetter, Brianna Anderson, Chad Grimsley, Stacy Bushman, and Jennifer Smith; and his great-grandchildren: Zackary Ryan, Jessica Ryan, Nicholas Bushman, Tyler Bushman, Samantha Bushman, Cheyanne Bushman, Elijah Thomas, and Michael "Lee" Brixley.
Graveside Services will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. At the request of Lee, no visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lodi Center Senior Meals.
All his friends and family will miss the emails and jokes that he sent everyday. Everyone will miss his positive non-judgemental and love of life he showed all of us.
Rocha's Mortuary at 215 S. School Street in Lodi is in charge of the arrangements.
