Phyllis M. Handel, 92, of Lodi passed away Sunday evening, September 16, 2012 at the Hospice House in Stockton. She was born May 30, 1920 at Omaha, Nebraska and has lived in Lodi for the past 90 years.
Mrs. Handel was a homemaker and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post #22 and the Wood-bridge Golf & Country Club, where she shot a hole-in-one.
Preceded in death by her husband: Sherwood W. "Moon" Handel, Grand-daughter: Stacey Handel and a son: Ron Handel.
Survived by a son: John S. Handel and wife, Janice of Lodi. A granddaughter: Denise Long and husband, Keith of Roseville. Great grandson: Ethan Long.
Cryptside services will be held Friday, September 21st at 2:00pm in the Devotion Mausoleum at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday 9:00am to 5:00pm at the Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N. School St., Lodi.
