Richard A. Neal passed away at the age of 79 in Lodi, CA on January 17, 2013 with his wife Fran by his side. Richard was born in Manchester, Iowa on November 19, 1933. He moved to San Diego, CA after graduating high school where he met Frances McNichol his next-door neighbor. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1958. Dick and Fran were married in May of 1958 and then moved to San Francisco, CA where Richard attended dental school at University of California at San Francisco. After graduating dental school in 1962 Dick and Fran moved to Lodi to establish their home. Richard practiced dentistry in Lodi for 30 years; he and Fran raised three children and have five grandchildren. Richard was an accomplished tennis player and was ranked in the top ten in his age group for many years. Richard is survived by his wife Frances and his children David (Beth), Dina (Ken) and Dan (Karen), grandchildren Ryan and Jacob Neal, Christy, Connor and Jonathon Wood. Richard is also survived by his twin brother Don, Blake and Gary Neal.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday January 21, 2013 at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, with a reception for family and friends following the service.
