Ruby Chann King passed away on July 26, 2013 at Lodi Memorial Hospital. She was 85. Born & raised in Locke, the historic Chinese Sacramento River town, she moved to Lodi after her marriage in September, 1952. An avid tennis player, she was a fixture on Lodi and Stockton tennis courts, playing singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, most often with her husband Bill King and her 3 sons, Terry, Randy & Marty. She also played basketball in her youth and she enjoyed officiating local games after she was no longer playing. She worked for years at Lakewood Drugs in Lodi and, after returning to business school, worked as an Executive Secretary at San Joaquin Packaging until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years William (Bill) King; her sister, Blossom Chung; and her brothers, Howard Chann, John Chann, & Richard Chann.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Terrance (Terry) King and Kay King, Randall (Randy) King, and Marty King.
A "Celebration of Life" Memorial service will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:30 a.m.; DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, CA 95219.
