Shirley C. Thomas died on October 1, 2012 surrounded by her family in Los Osos, CA after a long but valiant battle with Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia. She was born on May 29, 1923 in Ogden, Utah and raised there in her early years. Shirley always had a positive outlook on life and had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved to dance. She met her husband of 58 years, John Thomas, while they were at a USO military dance during World War II, also in Ogden, Utah. They were married in San Francisco on January 25, 1945 and later made their home in Lodi, CA. Shirley was a wonderful homemaker and took pride in her excellent culinary talents with many friends in Lodi, Bakersfield, and Oxnard, CA. Mother's favorite hobby was shopping, whether it be for grand children, her home or herself, she did it with gusto!
The Guest Book is expired.
