 Stephen Donald Giammona passed away peacefully after his brave and courageous battle with cancer, at his home in Lodi, Ca. on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the age of 62 surrounded by his loving family. Steve was born on July 19, 1949 in San Jose, Ca. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph V. Giammona. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Adrienne of 34 years, his mother, Lucille Speciale Giammona, his sister, Diane Kelly (Dan), his brother Joseph M. Giammona (Carol), his two sons, Stephen J. Giammona (Katy) and Peter S. Giammona and his faithful and loving dogs, Max and Shea. His step-children, Julie Clark-Berdechowski (Ron), Mike Clark (Melinda), Jennifer Clark-West (Damon) and Bill Clark (Jamie). His grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Berdechowski, Elizabeth and Victoria Clark, Zuzu, Elliott, and Stella West and Grant, Mia and Ava Clark. His nephews and niece, Michael Kelly and Rachel and Vince Giammona. Steve graduated from Westmont High School in Campbell, Ca. in 1967. He attended West Valley College in Saratoga, Ca.. After twenty years with the family business JSG Trucking Co., in Acampo, Ca., Steve opened his own car lot, S & A Auto Sales in Lodi. He enjoyed working on his cars, especially his 1973 Mach 1 Ford Mustang, working his car lot and growing his garden on the premises, which he shared the fruits of his labor with his many friends. Steve also enjoyed going to the beach with his family and grandchildren, reading and listening to his music. A private family service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi. The Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 noon at the First Baptist Church, 267 N. Mills Ave., Lodi, Ca. Reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve's name to the Salvation Army-Lodi Shelter, 525 W. Lockeford St., Lodi, CA 95240 and/or Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Giammona Family.
