Steven C. Schnabel, 68, of Lodi went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 23, 2013. He was born at Eureka, S.D. and has lived in Lodi for the past 58 years. He attended local schools and graduated from Lodi High School. He served in the California National Guard and was employed at Pure Sausage and Meat Co., S.E. Rykoff and retired from Pacific Seafood.

Mr. Schnabel was a long-time member of Zion Reformed Church. Past member of the Lodi Junior Chamber of Commerce, Lodi Elks Lodge, Lodi Moose Lodge, Lodi Eagles Lodge and the Lodi Dakota Club.
He enjoyed dancing, playing cards, entertaining friends, cooking and was a past golfer.
He is preceded in death by his father, Reinhard Schnabel. Survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Sharon Schnabel. Son, Scott (Amber) Schnabel of Stockton and Daughter, Sheila (Frank) Giuliani of Lodi. Grandchildren, Tyson (Rachel) and Deborah. Two Step-grandchildren, Jonathan and James (Mary). Great Grandson, Jack Mother, Irene Schnabel of Lodi. Brothers, Ronald (Bonney) Schnabel and Mark (Terry) Schnabel all of Lodi.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00am in the Zion Reformed Church with Pastor Matt Duerr officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 9:00am to 5:00pm at the Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N. School St., Lodi.
Memorials may be made to the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation or to Zion Reformed Church.
