On February 4, 2014, Phyllis Ann Wineinger went to be with the Lord. Phyllis was born in Brownstown, Indiana, on July 20, 1921. She had been suffering from Alzheimer's for years and was living at Somerfeld Assisted Living in Stockton. Phyllis attended school and graduated from high school in Brownstown, Indiana. She was very dedicated to her church where she would sing many times with her beautiful voice.

She and Harry met at church and were married in 1940, and in 1941, their daughter Paula was born. Harry spent 3 years in the Navy. Because of Harry's health, they had to move to Tucson, Arizona in 1954 where they lived for over 50 years. In Tucson, Phyllis attended Beauty School from 1960-1964, and after working for JC Penney for many years, retired in 1982. In 2005, Phyllis and Harry moved to Lodi to be closer to their family.
Her husband preceded her in death in 2008.
Phyllis is survived by a sister, Benita Bowman of Carmel, Indiana, one daughter, Paula Pierce of Lodi, 2 grandchildren, Sue Perales of Lodi and Mark Wells of Albuquerque, New Mexico, 4 great grandchildren, Nikki Perales, Brice Perales, James Wells, and Anthony Wells. Phyllis also had a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10am-12noon on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, CA 95240, with Graveside services following at 12:30pm at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Ln, Lodi CA.
