Evelyn Norheim, 89, of Galt, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Galt.

She was born on May 24, 1924, in Lodi, CA. Evelyn was a homemaker and loved caring for her family and volunteering in her community. She was a devout member of the English Oaks Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Evelyn graduated from Lodi Adventist Academy in 1942 and attended Pacific Union College in Angwin, CA, where she majored in Home Economics. She married Delbert Winning (1944) and later Ralph Norheim (1961) who both preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Ted Winning (Cindy), Fred Winning (Connie), Randy Norheim and Karl Norheim, six grandchildren, Ryan Winning (Melanie), Rene Link (Eric), Logan Norheim, Duncan Norheim, Arielle Norheim and Dylan Norheim, two great-grandchildren, Claire Winning and Taylor Link, and her brother, Dr. Francis Walker of St. Helena, CA. She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hampton and Edith Walker of Lodi, CA, her sister, Ruth Jamison of Napa, CA, and two brothers, Dr. Eugene Walker of Keene, TX, and Dr. Robert Walker of Laguna Beach, CA, and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Friday, February 21, at Cherokee Memorial Park Chapel, in Lodi, CA
